How to use a simple chronograph. This video walks you through operating a simple watch chronograph. It works very much like a stopwatch. Some watches have more complicated chronographs or measure the time in different increments. This example shows operation of a standard 1/20th of a second chronograph. You will find tachymeter scales on many chronographs, however it is not necessary to understand how to use them for the basic chronograph operation.
